About Carolyn
I’m Carolyn Flynn, an author and journalist based in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, who writes literary fiction, creative nonfiction, self-help nonfiction and magazine journalism. My day job is the editor of SAGE Magazine, the Albuquerque Journal’s award-winning monthly magazine for women.
I love books. I love writing, period, and that’s why I have helped many clients edit their books and see them to final publication. I like helping people attain their vision for their creative work.
I have seven self-help titles, including “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Mindfulness” and “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Creative Visualization.”
My literary short stories have appeared in Ellipsis, The Crescent Review and an anthology titled Wilde Frauen. I won the 1997 Renwick-Sumerwell prize for Self-Help, and that story also won first place in the SouthWest Writers contest.
